Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the mewd mobile application (“App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

mewd is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You agree to use the App in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose
• Attempt to interfere with the App’s security, functionality, or operation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App (except as permitted by law)
• Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, fraud, or misuse.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (journal entries, mood logs, reminders, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely as necessary to operate, improve, and provide the App.

You are solely responsible for your content and for maintaining your own backups.

4. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. It forms a part of these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Paid Features

If you purchase any paid features or subscriptions:

• Pricing and terms are presented before purchase
• Payments are processed by Google Play
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by Google Play’s policies

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services (such as Firebase and Google Mobile Ads). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

7. Health and Wellness Disclaimer

mewd is a journaling and reflection tool intended to support general wellness and mindfulness. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or medical emergency, please contact your healthcare provider or local emergency services immediately.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the App (including code, design, graphics, and trademarks) belong to Emarzee LLC. You are granted a limited, revocable license to use the App on your device.

9. Modifications and Availability

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Alternatively, You can request the permanent deletion here: Account Deletion. We may also terminate or suspend your access for violations of these Terms.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without any warranties of any kind, express or implied.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emarzee LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
